On this page you will find the necessary information about "formalia" which you have to keep on your mind when applying for a thesis and while writing and compiling your thesis.

Especially:

Application

Note:
Please, before you take your phone or write Mr. Siegert an e-mail to apply for a thesis, carefully read the information below, in advance.
This will save much time and effort on both sides and thereby fasten the whole application process tremendously. Thank you!

Generally, Mr. Siegert offers 4 options of writing your theses under his supervision. For these options, you can apply at any time:

1st Option: "General application" - without any preferation for a special topic:
An option with nearly no preparation effort on your side is to apply for a thesis without any preferation for a topic.
For more information see below.

2nd Option: Apply for a topic listed here.
An option with quite little preparation effort on your side is to apply for a topic Mr. Siegert has currently announced on the topics page (click here).
For more information see below.

3rd Option: Suggest your own topic.
If you want to suggest your own topic, we expect an initial literature review and identification of a potential research gap and question(s).
Therefore, you should also be familiarized with theories already used to investigate the area of your interest.
For more information see below.

4th Option: Corporate partner-cooperation:
If you want to carry out your thesis with a corporate partner.
Please note: Your corporate partner needs to grant the permission that the results of your thesis may be used for scientific purposes  in an anonymized form.
